Details on the internship opportunity:

·         We would prefer Business Administration students but we are open to receive students from different backgrounds as long as they would be interested in knowing more about Nielsen and what we do.



·         Paid internship/ Summer jobs - AED 100 per working day.


·         Duration – 2 to 3 months.



·         Working hours are 9AM to 6PM with one hour lunch break (1PM – 2PM) but we can look at some flexibility with the hiring manager as discussed (8AM9AM to 3PM) once we finalize the intern(s).
·         No Objection Certificate for university to be submitted when students are hired for the internships/ summer jobs.

Brief Job description: (please outline the required duties)

The Event and Social Media Intern will work closely with the general manager and event manager on a daily

basis across a broad range of event initiatives and FBNGCC’s social media platforms. These will include:

 Daily management of the social media platforms

 Assistance with, and implementation of, FBNGCC’s PR strategy

 Support with the creation of high-impact events from research, to design, to execution

 Procure and liaise with event suppliers (catering, printing, photographer, etc)

 Create e-invitation and other event collateral

 Follow-up with guests for RSVP and confirmation

 Manage the guest list database and update with new RSVPs

 Manage all incoming calls and queries related to the event

 Arabic written and verbal (preferred)

Hours of work: 9am – 6pm (part time can be discussed) Number of weeks required: 12 weeks

We start with #1 and then go to the next if there is no place.

REMEMBER THERE ARE NO GUARENTEES YOUR 1ST CHOICE WILL WANT AN INTERN.

-you will submit weekly reports and produce a poster to advertise the good and bad of your internship at the end of the internship period

It is time to start planning for the Internship Fair we will be holding during common break in the Atrium on June 10th!

ALL internship students will need to produce a standard A1 sized professional quality poster , BUT DONE BY THE STUDENT, to present the internship to the ZU community, these will be posted in the Atrium and explained by the student.
Students will be available during a designated common break in the atrium to explain their poster and answer questions.
BELOW are the expectations of both the presentation and poster.
General Introduction:
*All basic information included:
-Name, internship site, general introduction of the organization,
including its mission, customers, number of employees, etc.
-Department(s) where students worked
-Supervisor(s)
Work Assignments:
*Outline specific tasks assigned and completed
*Explain learning outcomes realized from these assignments
Evaluation of Work Assignment:
*Discuss what was learned from the internship
*Include an overall evaluation of the organization
*Make recommendations to the organization
for improving the internship experience
ZUs Role in Your Internship
*Include what should have been learned at ZU before going
to the internship
*Make recommendations for improving the internship program
What will be evaluated
*Delivery was well-paced and points were clear
*Good use was made of the available technology
*Use of English was clear and correct; grammar errors
were avoided; pronunciation and articulation made
*presentation easy to understand
*Presentation was well-organized and complete
